Chief ( Mrs.) Sekinat Toyin Ibrahim- Famakinwa was born in Lagos on April 8,1959. She attended Zumratul Islamiyyah School, Araromi, Ajegunle Apapa between 1963 and 1969 for her primary school education. She also attended Jubril Martins Ahmadiyah Grammar School, Iponri, Surulere, Lagos between 1970 and 1975 and Timi- Agbale Grammar School, Ede, Osun State for her secondary school education.
For her tertiary education, Chief ( Mrs.) Toyin Ibrahim- Famakinwa attended Miami-Dade Community College between 1977 and 1981 and also Charon- Williams College, both in Miami, Florida, United States.
Between 1979 and 1983, she worked as a Flight Announcer at Eastern Airlines, Miami, Florida, United States.
A player in the entertainment and tourism sectors, Chief ( Mrs. ) Ibrahim – Famakinwa has, at different periods, worked as an actress with the Nigerian Television Authority ( NTA ), Victoria Island, Lagos, Sunny Production, Palm Avenue, Ladipo, Oshodi and Mainframe Production, Oshodi between 1987 and 2009.
She also served as a Sales and Administration Coordinator at Barclay Travels, Allen Avenue, Ikeja and also as Hotel Manager at Winnis International Hotel, Surulere.
Chief ( Mrs.) Ibrahim- Famakinwa is a member of the Hotel and Institutional Management Association, Miami, Florida, United States. A widow of the late Hon. Justice Victor Babatunde Famakinwa, Chief ( Mrs. ) Famakinwa is also actively involved in community development.
