
Ojo Tope Stephen is a Public Relations practitioner with over twenty years of cognate experience in government information management.
Mr. Tope Ojo was born and raised in Okeigbo in Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government of Ondo State by his parent, Pa Micheal Akeredolu Ojo and Madam Grace Omotoyosi Ojo. He had his elementary and secondary education at Okeigbo where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and West Africa School Certificate Examination (WASCE) in 1982 and 1987 respectively. He proceeded to the then Federal School of Arts and Science in 1988.
He went to Ondo State Polytechnic (Now Rufus Giwa Polytechnic), Owo, for his tertiary education and obtained a National Diploma (ND) in Accountancy in 1993. He further proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile– Ife, Osun State and graduated with the Bachelor of Science B.Sc (Hons.) degree in International Relations in 1998. Between 2004 and 2007, Tope Ojo was at the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan where he obtained a Master degree (M.A) in Peace and Conflict Studies in 2007.
He started his working career as a Youth Corp Member with the Marketing and Traffic Services of the defunct Nigeria Airways Limited (NAL) between 1998 and 1999. Mr. Ojo joined the Lagos State Public service on the 22nd of May, 2000 as an Information Officer 11 with the Ministry of Information and Strategy.
His career as a Civil Servant had taken him to many Ministries and Agencies of the Lagos State Government both as Press and Public Relations (PPR) and later Public Affairs (PA). He has worked with the Divisional Information Office, Epe where he covered four Local Government and Council Development Areas between 2007 and 2012.
He has also served as Press and Public Relations Officer with the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Lagos State Waste Water Management Office, Lagos state Infrastructure Assets Management Agency (LASIAMA)
He is presently an Assistant Director and Head, Public Affairs Unit of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission
Mr. Ojo is an associate member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and also a Member of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ)
He has attended many trainings, seminars and conferences both within and outside the Country.
He is happily married with Children
